Meet Carolina and Morgana, the new team members of UAS7. For the first time, we will be working with two interns simultaneously - Carolina operating in the USA and Morgana in Brazil. Their mother tongue is one of the things that enhance their connection - find out more about their background.

By October 1, we welcome applications to our Study and Internship Programs starting in spring 2023 from students currently enrolled at universities in the U.S. and Canada or at our partner institutions in Brazil; UNISINOS and PUCRS. All applicants will automatically be considered for a 1,000 EUR travel grant.

Dennis Behrens spent one semester at the University at Albany, SUNY, in 2017 as a part of UAS7’s SIP program. After graduating from Bremen City University of Applied Sciences, he returned to the US and took a job at the German Convention Bureau in New York. He has now been living in New York for over 5 years and has been working for the airline JetBlue Airways since July 2021. In an interview Dennis looks back on his way from Bremen to New York.

We are happy to announce that Benjamin Brobbey, a 3rd year Electrical Engineering Student at Drexel University, is among the first 40 recipients of the new Gilman-DAAD Germany Scholarship. This prestigious grant will support his UAS7 Study and Internship Program (SIP) at HAW Hamburg starting in fall 2022. 

UAS7 is pleased to support the newly established DWIH - German Center for Research and Innovation - in San Francisco. On the occasion of the official opening ceremony, Patrizia Nobbe, Executive Director of UAS7 New York, sends our warmest wishes to our colleagues at the West Coast. Prof. Dr. Mechthild Schrooten, Bremen City University of Applied Sciences (UAS7) and Prof. Dr. Rita Biswas, University at Albany (SUNY), organized a virtual "Global Finance" course for their students from both institutions as part of the UAS7 Virtual Academy this spring term. To wrap up their cooperation, which also included a joint presentation at an international conference, they met in Bremen to plan further research together.

UAS7 is excited to announce the continuation of our strong partnership with the State University of New York system by extending the joint Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that has been in place since September 2011.
