Hello, Guten Tag & Bom Dia
Hello everyone! Me, Carolina Conceição, I’m happy to share that I am going to be supporting the UAS7 liaison office in New York as an intern for the next six months.
I was born in Portugal and grew up in a small village in the central region before I moved to Germany in my early teenage years. This marks the first big challenge in my life, that, looking back, opened my mind to understand and experience cultural barriers and indulge myself in the beauty of multiculturalism.
Choosing to study Multilingual Communication in one of the member universities TH Köln complemented my passion for internationality and education. There, I was introduced to the organization UAS7 and to their mission and values, which made me aware of the countless opportunities there are to connect and share knowledge and give students and professors the chance to experience the world.
I am more than excited to be a part of a city I could only dream of: New York City! I am looking forward to participating in the cheesiest and most touristy activities but also to try to blend in with the locals and get to feel the energy of the Big Apple.

Another hello all the way from South Brazil! My name is Morgana Kronbauer and I will be the intern at the UAS7 South America for the next five months. I am finishing my last semester of the Food Engineering bachelor at Unisinos University.
In 2019, I first heard of the Student and Internship Program through Unisinos, a partner of the UAS7 consortium. I went through the application process and was thrilled to hear that I was chosen to study and intern in Germany for half a year. In 2020, I finally started my UAS7 SIP and had the opportunity to move to Osnabrück and experience German culture, studying at Hochschule Osnabrück. Those two semesters felt like home to me. And here is why: I come from a German colonized town in the south of Brazil called Dois Irmãos (eng.: Two Brothers), where the German language is widely spoken, Wurst and Sauerkraut are still popular dishes today, and village festivals include Oktoberfest-style beer tents and oom-pah-pah bands in Lederhosen.
As a UAS7 Alumna, I am thrilled to be back as a UAS7 team member.

Despite the distance, we are very excited to join the team and collaborate with Patrizia (New York), Claus (Berlin) and Tatiana (São Leopoldo) on valuable projects. For the first time interns in New York and Brazil will be working simultaneously. This opens up new perspectives to the organization and great opportunities to adapt new ideas.
Be excited, you will hear from us soon.
