Start Your Next Adventure: Study or Intern in Germany!
APPLY NOW! Application Deadline: October 15, 2021
UAS7 is a strategic alliance of seven leading German Universities of Applied Sciences, that offers undergraduates from U.S. and Canadian colleges and universities as well as our Brazilian partner universities (UNISINOS, PUCRS) the opportunity to experience the practice-oriented education of German universities of applied sciences. The possibilities are endless, and students can choose to study and/or intern at one of our seven top university locations throughout Germany.
Are you ready for your next adventure?
Spend one semester studying at a UAS7 university and experience our practice-oriented expertise or take the opportunity to work with a research professor at a UAS7 university and develop your skills in the lab. You don’t speak German? No Problem, we offer programs that do not require any knowledge of German. However, it is recommended that you familiarize yourself with the language either before or upon arrival to Germany.
“Being immersed in a new country allowed me to learn the language more easily and experience the Bavarian culture through locals.”
Liz, Study Program, HS München
As a Chemical Engineering Student from Pittsburgh University, Liz Haeckler joined our Study Program in Spring 2019 to explore her major from a different perspective.
She spent one semester at the Munich University of Applied Sciences and would definitely recommend this experience to „anyone who has a thirst for knowledge about European culture or language, but especially engineering majors”.
Liz points out that her study abroad experience allowed her to form a global perspective and understand the values of different nationalities.
After the Study program, Liz is able to “apply German solutions to American problems” which makes for a perfect foundation as a Chemical Engineer.
“What I like most here in Germany is that we don’t only experience German culture but also get to know people from all over the world!”
Ana, Internship Program, TH Köln
Ana Mezzomo Tecchio, from Porto Alegre, Brazil participated in the Internship Program at the Corporate Architecture Institute of TH Köln where she participated in several projects that enhanced her experience abroad.
In one of those projects, she learned a foreign Japanese technique, which was used to build structures without any other material than wood.
Ana would highly recommend the Internship Program to everyone interested in not only having a job experience but also a cultural one whilst living in another country.
How does Covid-19 affect the Programs?
Our universities are currently either running full online or hybrid semesters. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 we still can't guarantee that the SIP programs will take place in the way they previously did, since there are many conditions out of our hands. UAS7 has decided to still accept applications for the upcoming SIP deadlines for programs starting in Spring or Fall 2022. If by the time the program start approaches, a physical presence is not safe enough, we will try to provide different options to all applicants to still be able to participate. However, programs may still be cancelled, if no other option can be safely provided. We continue to watch the developments on both sides of the Atlantic and will keep all applicants up to date.
