The internship at the UAS7 Liaison Office in New York felt both like a lifetime and like two days, despite being six months long. I learned a lot from my colleagues and had the opportunity to participate in thought-provoking events. I encourage others to live abroad and experience different cultures, as it can be a truly enriching adventure.

There are countless benefits to studying abroad during your studies. Martina C. Alles shares her experiences - from 2019 when she was awarded a UAS7 travel scholarship, to today, as a master student at the KU Leuven.

UAS7 President and Executive Director of the UAS7 New York office visit Drexel University to expand their partnership and explore potential collaborations. Drexel's emphasis on co-op education, applied sciences, and entrepreneurship aligns well with UAS7's mission. Moving the Cities is an international event that has been reoccurring annually since 2018. It unites students, professors, industry representatives and universities from all over the world. The goal of Moving the Cities is to look at regional challenges that cities face from an international perspective. To do just that, 135+ students from 6 countries collaborated digitally for one week. 28 internationally mixed teams with participants from Brazil, Chile, Germany, Colombia, England and the USA competed in the final pitches to convince the international jury of their solution.

To promote our seven Universities of Applied Sciences in North America, UAS7 usually engages in several Study Abroad and Career Fairs at our partner universities each fall. This year, everything has changed - and we decided to go virtual!

Due to the corona pandemic, not only in Germany has the university system predominantly gone virtual, universities have significantly expanded their digital teaching and learning offerings. This increase in digitalization is also to be anchored in international university cooperation projects. To this end, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) will fund the joint project "UAS7 Virtual Academy" led by Bremen City University of Applied Sciences. The total grant amount is 250,000 euros.
