UAS7 went to Boston for the German American International Network conference on August 25-27, 2023. GAIN is a network of the German Research Foundation (DFG), the DAAD, and the AvH Foundation. The GAIN conference supports transatlantic mobility of early career researchers, attracting German, US, and international researchers from MIT, Harvard, Boston University, and regional research institutes, interested in German career paths and collaborations.

This spring, the UAS7 New York office co-hosted and participated in two career information events in the New York metropolitan area: the 'Germany Grad Fair 2023' for undergraduates, and an information session for the German International School in New York.

After already receiving excellent ratings in the past for the bachelor's and master's programs of the Department of Engineering and Management, HM has once again been recognized by the students this year.

UAS7 President and Executive Director of the UAS7 New York office visit Drexel University to expand their partnership and explore potential collaborations. Drexel's emphasis on co-op education, applied sciences, and entrepreneurship aligns well with UAS7's mission. We recently had a chance to present at the fabulous IVEC Conference hosted by our partner Drexel University and East Carolina University. The topic was the UAS7 Virtual Academy, which is the virtual pillar among UAS7's internationalization instruments.

Balancing synochronous and asynchronous teaching; selecting the right technology tool and preparing students for international collaboration – these were just some of the many topics which were covered in the first round of the UAS7 Virtual Academy’s Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) coaching sessions held in early January 2021.

Due to the corona pandemic, not only in Germany has the university system predominantly gone virtual, universities have significantly expanded their digital teaching and learning offerings. This increase in digitalization is also to be anchored in international university cooperation projects. To this end, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) will fund the joint project "UAS7 Virtual Academy" led by Bremen City University of Applied Sciences. The total grant amount is 250,000 euros.
