Organizing Virtual Collaboration Through Consortia: Now and in the Future
We recently had a chance to present at the fabulous IVEC Conference hosted by our partner Drexel University and East Carolina University. The topic was the UAS7 Virtual Academy, which is the virtual pillar among UAS7's internationalization instruments. Under the Virtual Academy umbrella eight online collaborations between three SUNY universities and four UAS7 members in various disciplines took place during its inaugural year 2020/21. At the conference, we shared some assessments after the first year. The insights included consortial considerations of organizing virtual collaborations, the partner's perspectives on all of these, and general take-away points under the headline
Built to Last: The UAS7 Virtual Academy Fortifies the Bridge between Germany and the US.
The presenters were well-equipped, being Virtual Academy friends and coordinators from Day One: with Annette Richie, Director of Global Academic Programs, from our partner University at Albany, SUNY, our UAS7 Virtual Academy Coordinator Katja Zühlsdorf and Patrizia Nobbe, Executive Director of the UAS7 New York office. If you want to view the recording of our talk please get in touch by emailing Patrizia Nobbe at nobbe@uas7.org.
We are grateful to the DAAD IVAC program for their support of the UAS7 Virtual Academy.
