On November 5 and 6, UAS7 had the opportunity to participate in the Annual Goethe Institut "Career Booster Germany" - per 2020 restrictions in virtual form. This year, UAS7 was represented in three separate sessions, presenting Study Opportunities at Universities of Applied Sciences and graduate programs. Additionally, Nathanial Long - SIP alumnus - participated in an Alumni Panel Discussion about Studying in Germany.

To promote our seven Universities of Applied Sciences in North America, UAS7 usually engages in several Study Abroad and Career Fairs at our partner universities each fall. This year, everything has changed - and we decided to go virtual!

David Driscoll studied abroad at HAW Hamburg in 2009 as part of the UAS7 Study and Internship Program. Today he works as a Senior Designer for the Peter Schmidt Group in Munich. But it all started with a glimpse of his German heritage in 1997.

Danielle Kline participated in the UAS7 Study Program in Spring 2018 during her undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. After returning to the U.S., Danielle became a Peer Advisor at her home university's Study Abroad Office. She is now completing her graduate studies in Pittsburgh. In an interview with UAS7 intern Inga, she looks back at her experience in Hamburg.

An interview with Calvin Xu, who studied business intelligence and process management at the Berlin School of Economics and Law. Today he works as a Senior IT Analyst at NASDAQ.

On January 22, 2020, Consul General David Gill invited UAS7 friends and alumni as well as other German universities to the annual New Year’s Reception, traditionally taking place at the Consul’s residence.
