Prof. Dr. Frank Dellmann new Chairman of the Board of the UAS7 university network

Prof. Dr. Frank Dellmann is the new Chairman of the UAS7 university network. On April 1, 2024, the President of Münster University of Applied Sciences will succeed Prof. Dr. Andreas Zaby, who has held this office since 2016 and is now moving to the Federal Agency for Leap Innovations SPRIND in Leipzig. The presidents of the seven member universities from Berlin, Bremen, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich, Münster and Osnabrück unanimously elected Frank Dellmann to his new position at their last meeting.

#DWIHzeitgeist - Science Diplomacy in Practice

On February 1, 2024, UAS7 organized one installation of the #DWIHzeitgeist series on “Science Diplomacy in Practice”. The webinar brought together UAS7 science diplomacy practitioners: Prof. Dr. Lars Ribbe from TH Köln UAS and Prof. Dr. iur. Ekkehard Strauß from HWR Berlin, as well as Prof. Melissa Bilec from our partner, the University of Pittsburgh.

UAS7 global citizens – study and intern with SIP

From China to the United States to Germany – at 21 Feiyu Lu is already quite the global citizen. Her international life started at sixteen when she moved from China to the United States to complete her high school education. Her motivation was to improve her English and to see if she would like to live in America for a longer period of time.

From SIP to social entrepreneurship

“The Study & Internship Program was what really solidified my desire to become an entrepreneur. I interned for a small start-up tech company in Berlin, so I got to know the joys and pains of trying to build something with creative ideas. Because of the smaller team dynamics, I had a lot more input and contribution to the whole process, but also a lot more responsibility to back ideas with hard work.”
