This year, the hybrid event took place from 17 to 28th of October, gathering more than 140 students from 12 universities from all over the world. The multicultural teams worked hard to develop solutions tackling the Sustainable Development Goal 11: make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

Study & Internship Program Applications open!

By October 1, we welcome applications to our Study and Internship Programs starting in spring 2023 from students currently enrolled at universities in the U.S. and Canada or at our partner institutions in Brazil; UNISINOS and PUCRS. All applicants will automatically be considered for a 1,000 EUR travel grant.

One Semester at HAW Hamburg - Five questions for Brian & Emma from the University of Florida

Currently, Emma and Brian from the USA are spending a semester abroad at HAW Hamburg - one of the seven member universities of UAS7. In a short interview, the two students from the University of Florida talked about their time in Hamburg, their classes at HAW Hamburg and the differences between Germany and the USA.

Work & Life in New York - Interview with UAS7 Alumnus Dennis Behrens

Dennis Behrens spent one semester at the University at Albany, SUNY, in 2017 as a part of UAS7’s SIP program. After graduating from Bremen City University of Applied Sciences, he returned to the US and took a job at the German Convention Bureau in New York. He has now been living in New York for over 5 years and has been working for the airline JetBlue Airways since July 2021. In an interview Dennis looks back on his way from Bremen to New York.

UAS7 Exchange Student Among Gilman Scholarship Recipients

We are happy to announce that Benjamin Brobbey, a 3rd year Electrical Engineering Student at Drexel University, is among the first 40 recipients of the new Gilman-DAAD Germany Scholarship. This prestigious grant will support his UAS7 Study and Internship Program (SIP) at HAW Hamburg starting in fall 2022.
