An interview with Calvin Xu, who studied business intelligence and process management at the Berlin School of Economics and Law. Today he works as a Senior IT Analyst at NASDAQ.

On January 22, 2020, Consul General David Gill invited UAS7 friends and alumni as well as other German universities to the annual New Year’s Reception, traditionally taking place at the Consul’s residence.

On December 4, 2019, we organized our annual holiday party, in cooperation with the liaison offices of German universities located in New York City. As in previous years, friends and alumni of 16 German universities as well as the German Research Foundation (DFG) came together at the New York premises of Fresenius University of Applied Sciences to kick-off the holiday season. 

An “International student week for entrepreneurship” took place from Nov 11th to Nov 14th in São Leopoldo (RS). Coordinated by UNISINOS, Tecnosinos, FH Münster and UAS7.

People working in global education are often asked does study abroad really have any impact; do students really go on to work in a different country or in international careers. Sometimes the world is very small and study abroad can be a little bit of serendipity...

From China to the United States to Germany – at 21 Feiyu Lu is already quite the global citizen. Her international life started at sixteen when she moved from China to the United States to complete her high school education. Her motivation was to improve her English and to see if she would like to live in America for a longer period of time.

“The Study & Internship Program was what really solidified my desire to become an entrepreneur. I interned for a small start-up tech company in Berlin, so I got to know the joys and pains of trying to build something with creative ideas. Because of the smaller team dynamics, I had a lot more input and contribution to the whole process, but also a lot more responsibility to back ideas with hard work.”
