Alumni Holiday Party

On December 4, 2019, we organized our annual holiday party, in cooperation with the liaison offices of German universities located in New York City. As in previous years, friends and alumni of 16 German universities as well as the German Research Foundation (DFG) came together at the New York premises of Fresenius University of Applied Sciences to kick-off the holiday season.

UAS7 global citizens – study and intern with SIP

From China to the United States to Germany – at 21 Feiyu Lu is already quite the global citizen. Her international life started at sixteen when she moved from China to the United States to complete her high school education. Her motivation was to improve her English and to see if she would like to live in America for a longer period of time.

From SIP to social entrepreneurship

“The Study & Internship Program was what really solidified my desire to become an entrepreneur. I interned for a small start-up tech company in Berlin, so I got to know the joys and pains of trying to build something with creative ideas. Because of the smaller team dynamics, I had a lot more input and contribution to the whole process, but also a lot more responsibility to back ideas with hard work.”
