The theme "Engineering the Future" for this year's 23rd Annual Colloquium on International Engineering Education (ACIEE) at the university of Rhode Island (URI), emphasized the need to continuously adapt, innovate, and forge new and stronger relationships with each other for all parties involved in this field.

The German Center for Research and Innovation (GCRI) New York recently called to envision the green city of the future. From October 14 to 17, interested Future Forum attendants were able to participate in the "Building Biopolis" project together with American and German climate experts from industry, policy and academia.

To promote our seven Universities of Applied Sciences in North America, UAS7 usually engages in several Study Abroad and Career Fairs at our partner universities each fall. This year, everything has changed - and we decided to go virtual!

Whether it is Business Administration, Economics, Business Law, Business Informatics or Engineering, at UAS7 universities business and economics students are particularly satisfied with their studies. Those departments were awarded top ranks in the most recent CHE ranking. Business studies and Social Work courses fared particularly well.

On December 4, 2019, we organized our annual holiday party, in cooperation with the liaison offices of German universities located in New York City. As in previous years, friends and alumni of 16 German universities as well as the German Research Foundation (DFG) came together at the New York premises of Fresenius University of Applied Sciences to kick-off the holiday season. 

An “International student week for entrepreneurship” took place from Nov 11th to Nov 14th in São Leopoldo (RS). Coordinated by UNISINOS, Tecnosinos, FH Münster and UAS7.

Our last stop of Employability (made) in Germany brought us to to our partner university the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on October 18, 2019, for a networking event focusing on Germany-oriented careers.

We recently went to South Carolina! At Clemson University we held our fourth event of the Employability (made) in Germany series on October 9, 2019, joined by TH Köln University of Applied Sciences and Munich University of Applied Sciences.
