On December 4, 2019, we organized our annual holiday party, in cooperation with the liaison offices of German universities located in New York City. As in previous years, friends and alumni of 16 German universities as well as the German Research Foundation (DFG) came together at the New York premises of Fresenius University of Applied Sciences to kick-off the holiday season. 

Yet again, about 100 undergraduate and graduate students, young professionals, career service advisors and anyone interested in studies abroad joined UAS7, the German university liaison offices and other relevant institutions last Friday, March 29, for our annual Germany Grad Fair at the German House.

People working in global education are often asked does study abroad really have any impact; do students really go on to work in a different country or in international careers. Sometimes the world is very small and study abroad can be a little bit of serendipity...

My name is Meredith Nuber and I am the current intern at the UAS7 liaison Office in New York City. In addition to interning at UAS7, I am a studying to earn a master’s degree in international education from New York University.

From China to the United States to Germany – at 21 Feiyu Lu is already quite the global citizen. Her international life started at sixteen when she moved from China to the United States to complete her high school education. Her motivation was to improve her English and to see if she would like to live in America for a longer period of time.

On Thursday, April 28, 2016, the UAS7 New York Office hosted a panel discussion on the topic of "Bridging the U.S. Skills Gap - A Transatlantic Discussion on Vocational Training and Best Practices" in cooperation with the German Consulate New York. 

“The Study & Internship Program was what really solidified my desire to become an entrepreneur. I interned for a small start-up tech company in Berlin, so I got to know the joys and pains of trying to build something with creative ideas. Because of the smaller team dynamics, I had a lot more input and contribution to the whole process, but also a lot more responsibility to back ideas with hard work.”
