Projektbeschreibung
Based on our current research projects students will plan and perform individual sets of experiments using analytic, numerical and experimental methods to investigate the stress resistance of thermoplastic flange materials like Polypropylen and Polyethylen.
Current projects are:
- Double – Seal – Concept for thermoplastic flange systems with low surface pressure.
- Development of an analytical calculation method for thermoplastic flange systems.
Aufgaben
Depending on the project:
- Theoretical background about thermoplastic materials and their material behavior.
- Perform experiments to determine thermoplastic material parameters for, e.g. creep behavior, temperature dependency...
- Testing strength and leakage on flange systems.
- Fitting calculation method with experimental data.
- Maybe having a look on computer simulation.
Anforderungen
- Courses on material technologies, ideally polymer technology.
- Little lab experience required, preferably in physical, mechanical or chemical engineering.
- Microsoft Office.
