Project description

The transdisciplinary research project EN ROUTE aims to meet current challenges at universities (e.g. digitalisation, sustainable development and mobility) with a comprehensive understanding of spaces and practices “en route”. In a transdisciplinary process, researchers from various disciplines - landscape architecture, geography, urban planning, business administrations and marketing, energy technology and media informatics - develop concepts and strategies for sustainable and digital mobility to, from and in university campuses. A newly developed typology will provide insights into the individual production and utilization of spaces “en route”. 

 

The internship is part of a research and development project and will be supervised by two scientific assistants and by the head of the research group.

Tasks
Conduct literature reviews and provide summaries.
Visualisation and analysis of existing mobility data.
Conceptualisation and implementation of quantitative surveys.
Transcription, coding and analysis of interview data (if fluent in German).
Requirements
Interest in sustainable mobility and inno-vative conceptualisations of space, virtual mobility and being “on the move”.
Interest in explorative research designs.
Skills in structuring and visualising knowledge.
Ability to work self-reliantly and in flexible settings.
Languages
English: fluent
German: basic knowledge useful, but not required
