Project description
Structure-property relationships of elastomers
Elastomeric plastics like rubber elastomers, thermoplastic elastomers and foamed elastomers are unique materials due to their viscoelastic nature and can be found across all kinds of industries from automotive, sports and leisure and medical device industry, e.g. Understanding of their viscoelastic behaviour and correlation to the underlying micro structure is crucial for the optimization of tailored elastomers for industrial applications.
