UAS7 at the Conference of the German American International Network (GAIN) 2023

UAS7 went to Boston for the German American International Network conference on August 25-27, 2023. GAIN is a network of the German Research Foundation (DFG), the DAAD, and the AvH Foundation. The GAIN conference supports transatlantic mobility of early career researchers, attracting German, US, and international researchers from MIT, Harvard, Boston University, and regional research institutes, interested in German career paths and collaborations.

Moving the Cities 2022: Studierende entwickeln Lösungen für das SDG 11

Die diesjährige Hybridveranstaltung fand vom 17. bis zum 28. Oktober statt und versammelte mehr als 140 Studierende von 12 Universitäten aus Brasilien, Chile, Kolumbien, Deutschland, den USA und dem UK. Das Projekt umfasste neue Herausforderungen und Möglichkeiten für Studierende, ihre unternehmerischen und interdisziplinären Fähigkeiten zu verbessern, multikulturelle Erfahrungen zu sammeln und gleichzeitig innovative Ideen zu entwickeln.

Virtual Academy Spotlight Hochschule Bremen: Air Pollution Control – A Comparison Between US and German Cities

The course Air Pollution Control, part of the UAS7 Virtual Academy, was a transatlantic cooperation between Bremen University of Applied Sciences and the University at Albany. The key goals of the joint course were to engage students in solving real-world air pollution problems through project-based learning. In doing so, they learned to foster collaboration, relationships and networks with fellow international students and their instructors.

Virtual Academy Spotlight Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences: Pitching projects for the Internet of Things

Students from several engineering and computer science programs at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and at University at Albany conduct experiments on artificial intelligence and develop their own products for the Internet of Things. They exchange ideas in transatlantic teams and give each other feedback on their project ideas.
