Project description
Based on our current research projects students will plan and perform individual sets of experiments using methods of protein expression and purification.
Current projects are:
- Purification and determination of enzymes from seaweed to develop diagnostic marker
- Purification and determination of antioxidative substances from seaweed
- Recombinant expression and purification of GAP-GTPase complexes for time-resolved protein crystallisation
Tasks
Depending on the project:
Cloning of recombinant plasmid-DNA
Expression and purification of recombinant proteins from E. coli
Purification of native seaweed enzymes and implementation of enzymatic assays
Purification and determination of antioxidative substances from seaweed
