Project description
This student project focuses on the design and development of key components within the communication subsystem of a CubeSat. CubeSats are small, modular satellites widely used for educational, scientific, and commercial missions. Efficient and reliable communication is a critical part of their functionality, enabling data transmission between the satellite and ground stations.
Participants in this project will work collaboratively to design, simulate, and test various aspects of a CubeSat communication link. Tasks are divided into specialized areas, allowing students to explore different technologies and methodologies involved in satellite communications.
Tasks
One of the following:
FPGA Programming: Design and implement digital signal processing algorithms for encoding, modulation, and data handling using
RF Front-End Design: Develop and simulate analog circuits for transmitting and receiving RF signals, ensuring efficient frequen
System Simulation: Model and simulate the end-to-end communication system, incorporating noise, channel effects, and link budge
Test and Measurement: Perform hardware testing and debugging of communication subsystems using laboratory equipment like spectr
