Investigation of ecosystemproperties (species, biotopes, keyfactors) ofNorth German habitats: flowingwaters: macro-zoobenthos, physicochemicaland biologicalwaterqualitydetermination, streammorphology; deciduousforest: vegetation, flora, stock maintenance,mappingmethods; North Seasaltmarshes: zonation, flora,physiologicaladaptation; Wadden Sea: fauna, physiological andmorphologicaladaptation; grassland: vegetation, management;marshlandditches: waterquality, fishfauna
Tasks
Plan, carry out and evaluate ecological field studies
Develop an understanding of basic ecological principles (e.g. zoning, material cycles, energy flow)
Knowledge transfer theory-practice
Develop a basic knowledge on the management of habitats (sustainable use, nature conservation, landscape planning)
Requirements
Basic knowledge of the variety of forms of native flora and fauna
Languages
English and German
