This year, the hybrid event took place from 17 to 28th of October, gathering more than 140 students from 12 universities from all over the world. The multicultural teams worked hard to develop solutions tackling the Sustainable Development Goal 11: make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

Study & Internship Program Applications open!

By October 1, we welcome applications to our Study and Internship Programs starting in spring 2023 from students currently enrolled at universities in the U.S. and Canada or at our partner institutions in Brazil; UNISINOS and PUCRS. All applicants will automatically be considered for a 1,000 EUR travel grant.

Moving the Cities 2020, Hackathon Uniting Industry & Academia

Moving the Cities is an international event that has been reoccurring annually since 2018. It unites students, professors, industry representatives and universities from all over the world. The goal of Moving the Cities is to look at regional challenges that cities face from an international perspective. To do just that, 135+ students from 6 countries collaborated digitally for one week. 28 internationally mixed teams with participants from Brazil, Chile, Germany, Colombia, England and the USA competed in the final pitches to convince the international jury of their solution.

German Ministry for Education and Research grants 250,000 EUR in funding for transatlantic "UAS7 Virtual Academy"

Due to the corona pandemic, not only in Germany has the university system predominantly gone virtual, universities have significantly expanded their digital teaching and learning offerings. This increase in digitalization is also to be anchored in international university cooperation projects. To this end, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) will fund the joint project "UAS7 Virtual Academy" led by Bremen City University of Applied Sciences. The total grant amount is 250,000 euros.

U-Multirank: Bremen and Osnabrück Universities of Applied Sciences among the 25 global top performing universities

Two UAS7 universities reach top positions in the global university ranking "U-Multirank". The Bremen City University of Applied Sciences performs particularly well in the areas of transfer and cooperation, while the business administration and economics programs at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences achieved top marks in the "Contact to Work Environment" category.

CHE-Ranking: Top Scores for Business & Economics Programs at UAS7 Universities

Whether it is Business Administration, Economics, Business Law, Business Informatics or Engineering, at UAS7 universities business and economics students are particularly satisfied with their studies. Those departments were awarded top ranks in the most recent CHE ranking. Business studies and Social Work courses fared particularly well.
