Welcome to our new NYC Intern Jessica!
Since the beginning of September, Jessica Borja Brito is the new intern at the UAS7 New York office in the German house. She wants to introduce herself and share her first impressions working in the city that never sleeps.
"I’ve just arrived as an intern at the UAS7 New York office. This internship is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in a field that aligns with my Master's in Management in Nonprofit Organizations (NPO).
As an international Master's student from Ecuador at the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück, interning at UAS7 gives me the chance to explore how nonprofit principles are applied to higher education management. Even though it’s only my first week, I’m already involved in organizing the Germany Grad Fair (GGF) 2024, where various stakeholders will share opportunities for research, funding, and career development in Germany. This experience not only broadens my understanding of nonprofit management but also provides me with valuable experience collaborating with an NPO.
Being in Manhattan, with views of skyscrapers and the East River, makes this experience even more exciting."
