UAS7 President Andreas Zaby Presents at the AIEA Conference on February 21, 2023
Last month, Andreas Zaby spoke at the U.S.-based AIEA conference. This conference of American International Education Administrators invites high ranking higher education leaders from all over the world to meet, share and discuss their visions, strategies, concerns and questions.
Andreas Zaby participated in and hosted a panel on international research questions. Dr. Georg Bechtold, Executive Director of DFG’s Washington and New York offices, and Vice President Rogelio Minana of Drexel University joined him on the stage. Under the title "Modeling Research Collaborations as Internationalization Strategies," Zaby framed international research collaboration from the perspective of applied science institutions. To illustrate the UAS model of the research collaboration process (from initiation to completion), he presented various international UAS7 research projects. Among them are Bio-Plastics Europe by HAW Hamburg, Models and Methods for an active ageing workforce, based at HWR Berlin, and Advancing Space Access Capabilities - Reusability and Multiple Satellite Injection, a project with of Bremen City University of Applied Sciences.

The session attracted a full house with standing room only (50+ audience) and provoked a broad range of discussions and follow-up conversations.
