Pitch Across the Ocean: Transatlantic Startups Take the Virtual Stage

Text

UAS7 and Startup Incubator Berlin, in collaboration with the German Center for Research and Innovation (DWIH) New York, was pleased to host Pitch Across the Ocean, a transatlantic pitch event that brought together eight innovative startups from the United States and Germany.

Supported by six universities across both countries, the event was broadcast live from the Startup Incubator Berlin and provided a unique opportunity for early-stage companies to present their ideas to an international audience, as well as a jury of exceptional international experts and investors connected to each participating ecosystem.

The event aimed to foster dialogue and international cooperation, while giving founders valuable exposure and feedback across borders.

We congratulate the two winning teams Raptor Defense Company (USA) and Delvo (Germany) as well as all other contestants.

The two winning teams will have the opportunity to broaden their perspective: Delvo, will participate in the STEP USA New York Program, gaining insights into the US market. Raptor Defense Company will attend the Bits & Pretzels Founders Festival in Munich, engaging with Europe’s startup community. (A resounding thank-you to the Strascheg Center Munich colleagues for making that possible.)

Over the past three years, this initiative grew from a bilateral pitch event between Startup Incubator Berlin and their US partner, with UAS7 support, to this multi-partner event with a lot of potential for deeper partnerships. The international pitch teams, all organizers in the incubators and innovation landscape on both continents, and the jury members, they all pooled their valuable time and expertise. We thank all partners, startups, and supporters who helped make this event a success, between then and now. Events like Pitch Across the Ocean underscore the value of international exchange in entrepreneurship and innovation - as well as the UAS7 power to internationally create and connect.

To everyone who missed this exciting event or wants to rewatch the pitches: the full livestream can be found here.
