Internship Program: A Reflection after 5 Years

Experiences

Five years after the Internship Program in Germany, Eduardo comments on the benefits and possibilities that the experience brought to his professional career, in addition to sharing about the selection process, his internship at the university, and some of his adventures.

About Eduardo:

Today, Eduardo is 28 years old, graduated in Mechanical Engineering, and fully immersed in his professional career.

The Internship:

Eduardo was seeking an exchange experience in which he could intern and improve his English. Through PUCRS University, the opportunity to participate in the UAS7 internship program at Bremen City University of Applied Sciences arose. From August 2018 to January 2019, Eduardo became part of the research team at the aerospace laboratory, where the ongoing project focused on the development of a small-scale rocket for atmospheric measurements. He, along with a colleague, worked on designing a minimum pressure valve for the project.

 Life in Europe:

The beauty of being in Europe is being able to enjoy the reality there. What stood out the most for Eduardo was the transportation. He comments on the ease of traveling from one country to another with affordable prices and the possibility of taking short trips on weekends. During his time there, he took the opportunity to travel to Italy and visit relatives.

By train, Eduardo took advantage of the student train pass that exempted him from paying fares in a certain region. He visited several cities in the surrounding area, as well as taking a longer trip to the south of Germany, enjoying the beauty of the journey and the tranquility of the trip.

Feedback:

Eduardo understands the importance of sharing the details of his experience because before experiencing all of this, he couldn't imagine how valuable an exchange could be.

The experience is, in general, fantastic! Every investment you make is truly worth it.

The former student recommends the experience to everyone and, above all, emphasizes the ease with which the process was carried out by the international office of the university.

Watch Eduardo's full testimonial to learn more about the UAS7 internship program:

This program is a program that worked very well for me. I am biased to speak about an internship in Germany because I believe there is no superior experience than this.
