Holiday Gathering 2022

On December 7, 2022 the Alumni Holiday Gathering had its comeback after two years. Together with the liaison offices of German universities located in New York City, the German Research Foundation (DFG), and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) we organized our well missed event at the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany New York. Friends and alumni of various German universities and institutions came together to kick-off the holiday season.

It was a great networking opportunity, allowing everyone to meet and mingle with old friends and acquaintances and to make new interesting connections.

The musicians Manuel Schmiedel, Jazz Pianist, and Johannes Felscher, Bassist, Recording Engineer & Producer, Composer, provided a magical atmosphere and the wine tasting from Wunderwine was an enjoyable asset to the party, with Jan Schüler, Founder and COO at Wunderwine, introducing three different German wines from his club. Our colleagues and friends Eva Bosbach, Executive Director at University of Cologne New York Office, Dana Cowlishaw, Program Coordinator, Communication and Events at DFG North America, Stefan Altevogt, Senior Program Associate at DFG North America, and Benedikt Bosbach, Sr. Principal Scientist at CTI, Pfizer's research partnership hub, led the guests and hosts into singing festive German carols - what a good way to end the night! 

We had an amazing time. We wish you a happy holiday season!
