7ª Jornada Internacional de Enfermagem (7th International Nursing Conference)
From May 5th to May 7th, the 7ª Jornada Internacional de Enfermagem took place online. By special invitation from Universidade Franciscana (UFN) from Santa Maria (RS), members of the universities of applied sciences joined. The event included the 4º Simpósio de Enfermagem Brasil-Alemanha and the 5º Seminário de Saúde Materna-Infantil. Main theme of the event was "Advanced Practice in Health: challenges and interprofessional projections".
Throughout the week, there were several presentations, lectures, and scientific communications about the topic "Experiences and consequences of COVID-19 for Nursing". The International Symposium was attended by health professionals, students, and professors from the UFN. The exchange of information was interesting as it allowed participants to learn about the perspectives of different experiences in hospitals and Covid-19 care, both in Germany and Brazil.
The event created a network atmosphere and encouraged attendants to share study insights and experiences through discussions, communicate scientific knowledge about advanced practice in health/nursing, strengthening the collaboration between countries, and stimulating students in academic exchange.
The meeting between UAS7 and UFN has been held annually since 2013. This year, approximately 110 people attended online - representing students and professors from universities, including three UAS7 members: the universities of applied sciences Münster, Osnabrück and Hamburg.
