HM und SCE gewinnen beim Stifterverband-Förderprogramm "Entrepreneurial Skills"

Die Hochschule München (HM) mit ihrem Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) ist auch in der kompetitiven zweiten Stufe des „Entrepreneurial Skills“-Programms des Stifterverbands erfolgreich. Aus den insgesamt 69 Einreichungen deutscher Hochschulen und Universitäten konnten sich HM und SCE mit ihrem Konzept „Entrepreneurship & Innovation Einführungstage“ als eine von vier erfolgreichen Einreichungen durchsetzen.

Digitaler GAIN-Workshop zur HAW-Professur

In den nächsten Jahren werden Tausende von Professuren an Hochschulen für Angewandte Wissenschaften frei. Jedes Jahr gibt es ca. 900 bis 1100 Neubesetzungen an HAWs. Am 02. Dezember 2021 zeigten die FH Bielefeld, HAW Hessen und UAS7 in einem Workshop, welche Voraussetzungen – neben Innovationsbereitschaft und Praxisorientierung – Interessierte mitbringen sollten und welche Unterstützung und Wege es gibt, Berufungsfähigkeit zu erlangen. Damit stellten die Partner ein Stück weit einen geographischen Querschnitt dar.

Virtual Academy Spotlight Hochschule Bremen: Air Pollution Control – A Comparison Between US and German Cities

The course Air Pollution Control, part of the UAS7 Virtual Academy, was a transatlantic cooperation between Bremen University of Applied Sciences and the University at Albany. The key goals of the joint course were to engage students in solving real-world air pollution problems through project-based learning. In doing so, they learned to foster collaboration, relationships and networks with fellow international students and their instructors.

Virtual Academy Spotlight Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences: Pitching projects for the Internet of Things

Students from several engineering and computer science programs at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and at University at Albany conduct experiments on artificial intelligence and develop their own products for the Internet of Things. They exchange ideas in transatlantic teams and give each other feedback on their project ideas.

A new evaluation tool for COIL projects: Focus on the intercultural learning process

Since the UAS7 Virtual Academy is a joint project between several institutions, it seeks to bundle and harmonize competencies as much as possible in order to build capacity and ensure that the project has a trickle-down effect throughout the universities and beyond. Experts on evaluation, quality management, and intercultural competence from all participating German universities joined forces to create a joint evaluation tool (questionnaire) for students, in order to measure the impact of the projects.
