After six exciting months of interning for UAS7 in New York City, my time in the city that never sleeps has come to an end. I would like to take a moment to look back on this incredible time.

This Fall, the North America office of UAS7 presented at different career fairs across the United States. We want to share with you some of the highlights of our broad participation. 

UAS7 went to Boston for the German American International Network conference on August 25-27, 2023. GAIN is a network of the German Research Foundation (DFG), the DAAD, and the AvH Foundation. The GAIN conference supports transatlantic mobility of early career researchers, attracting German, US, and international researchers from MIT, Harvard, Boston University, and regional research institutes, interested in German career paths and collaborations.

Im Mai 2023 fanden an der Universidade Franciscana (UFN), einem Partner der UAS7, die 8. Internationale Pflegekonferenz, das 6. Seminar zur Mutter-Kind-Gesundheit und das 6. Brasilien-Deutschland Pflegesymposium statt.

The internship at the UAS7 Liaison Office in New York felt both like a lifetime and like two days, despite being six months long. I learned a lot from my colleagues and had the opportunity to participate in thought-provoking events. I encourage others to live abroad and experience different cultures, as it can be a truly enriching adventure.

Einmal im Jahr organisieren die Deutsche Schule Madrid und die Deutsche Schule Barcelona in Kooperation eine gemeinsame Bildungsmesse für ihre Oberstufen, um über Studien- und Berufsmöglichkeiten zu informieren.

Dennis Behrens absolvierte im Jahr 2017 im Rahmen des SIP-Programms von UAS7 ein Auslandssemester an der University at Albany, SUNY. Nach seinem Abschluss an der Hochschule Bremen kehrte er in die USA zurück und nahm eine Stelle beim German Convention Bureau in New York an. Mittlerweile lebt er seit über 5 Jahren Jahren in New York und arbeitet seit Juli 2021 bei der Airline JetBlue Airways. Im Interview mit UAS7 blickt Dennis auf seinen Weg von Bremen nach New York zurück.
