UAS7 Jahrestagung 2021 - Vortragende aus 26 Hochschulen tauschten sich online zur Zukunft von Entrepreneurship aus. Baku, cloudy – Cologne, rainy – Islamabad, winter – Sarajevo, cloudy – Berlin, greyish … Der Begrüßungschat der Teilnehmenden des HM E’Ship Summit 2021 ließ bereits erahnen: Dieser Online-Gipfel ist international. Knapp 400 Konferenzteilnehmende weltweit verfolgten am 17. und 18. November 2021 den englischsprachigen Digital-Summit der Hochschule München und des Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE).

The last two years changed the world and with it changed the parameters of applied sciences. At a hybrid University-Industry talk, sponsored by the Otto and Fran Walter Foundation, academic, business and industry leaders from three continents shared their ideas on university-industry relations and Innovation Powered by Applied Sciences.

Die HM führt als „Leading Partner“ ein Konsortium von insgesamt acht internationalen höheren Bildungseinrichtungen, um im Projekt EUAccel Strategien zu entwickeln, die die Start-up-Kultur und Co-Creation in Europa fördern und damit Innovationen beschleunigen. 

Über gut 1,4 Millionen Euro darf sich die Hochschule Bremen (HSB) freuen, die sie ab Oktober 2021 verteilt auf vier Jahre vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung für die Stärkung ihrer Gründungs- und Innovationskultur erhält. Kernelement des Projektes „FreiRAUM@HSB“ wird ein Kreativort mit „Design-Maker-Space“ und „Co-Working-Space“ sein, in dem Studierende und Mitarbeitende Ideen austauschen, Lösungsansätze entwickeln und erste Prototypen und Geschäftskonzepte erarbeiten können.

April 2021 was an intense month of learning and cross-cultural interaction for students of the course Different Approaches to Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility in the US and the EU at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht Berlin (HWR Berlin). Students joined selected counterparts from the University at Albany in the US for a month-long interactive online course that placed international collaboration at its heart.

The course Air Pollution Control, part of the UAS7 Virtual Academy, was a transatlantic cooperation between Bremen University of Applied Sciences and the University at Albany. The key goals of the joint course were to engage students in solving real-world air pollution problems through project-based learning. In doing so, they learned to foster collaboration, relationships and networks with fellow international students and their instructors.

UAS7-Hochschulen waren bei der von der Stiftung „Innovation in der Hochschullehre“ initiierten Ausschreibung „Hochschullehre durch Digitalisierung stärken“ besonders erfolgreich. Sie warben in Einzel- und Verbundanträgen mehr als 18 Mio.€ an Fördergeldern ein. Allen Anträgen gemeinsam ist der Gedanke, Studium und Lehre neu zu denken und innovative, digitale Lehrformate zu entwickeln und zu implementieren.

Students from several engineering and computer science programs at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and at University at Albany conduct experiments on artificial intelligence and develop their own products for the Internet of Things. They exchange ideas in transatlantic teams and give each other feedback on their project ideas.
