Elizabeth Haeckler, a Chemical Engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh, participated in the UAS7 Study Program in spring 2019. For one term, Liz was enrolled in the Engineering and Management program at Munich University of Applied Sciences (MUAS). In this interview, she talks about her experience.

6 Monate sind nun wie im Flug vergangen und hier bin ich, am letzten Tag meines Praktikums im Verbindungsbüro von UAS7 in New York: Mein Praktikum begann inmitten der Eventreihe „Employability (made) in Germany“ im Rahmen des Deutschlandjahres, wo ich die Chance hatte einen tieferen Einblick in das Eventmanagement und Marketing zu gewinnen.

Charlotte is a student at Bremen City University of Applied Sciences, which is a member of the UAS7 alliance. She went abroad to the University of Pittsburgh as part of the UAS7 Study Program, because she had heard a lot of good things about the University and the city before – and she was not disappointed! We interviewed her shortly after her return to Germany.

An “International student week for entrepreneurship” took place from Nov 11th to Nov 14th in São Leopoldo (RS). Coordinated by UNISINOS, Tecnosinos and FH Münster in an unique and innovative format, “Design the Future” was set up together with students from two UAS7 universities, FH Münster and TH Köln, as well as partners from Brazil and Chile and German based companies such as SAP, Fraport and Stihl.

Ich bin Inga Schulze-Velmede und die neue Praktikantin im UAS7-Verbindungsbüro in New York City. Hier werde ich die Büroleitung von UAS7, Dr. Patrizia Nobbe, bei anstehenden Events, Projekten und der Öffentlichkeitsarbeit in den nächsten sechs Monaten tatkräftig unterstützen.

Ende August reiste UAS7 zur GAIN Konferenz in San Francisco, die vom 23.-25.8. stattfand. Die GAIN Konferenz ist eine wichtige jährliche Konferenz, die sich an deutsche Nachwuchswissenschaftler*innen in den USA richtet. GAIN steht für German American International Network.

Bereits zum dritten Mal fand sich eine Delegation aus mehreren UAS7-Hochschulen an der Universidade Franciscana (UFN) im südbrasilianischen Santa Maria ein, um am 3° Simposio de Enfermagem Brasil-Alemanha teilzunehmen.
