Moving the Cities 2020, Hackathon Uniting Industry & Academia

Moving the Cities is an international event that has been reoccurring annually since 2018. It unites students, professors, industry representatives and universities from all over the world. The goal of Moving the Cities is to look at regional challenges that cities face from an international perspective. To do just that, 135+ students from 6 countries collaborated digitally for one week. 28 internationally mixed teams with participants from Brazil, Chile, Germany, Colombia, England and the USA competed in the final pitches to convince the international jury of their solution.

Im Fokus stand die Bedeutung von Innovationen, Anpassungsfähigkeit und starken Beziehungen für die Zukunft der Ingenieurwissenschaften. UAS7 wurde in einem Workshop zum Thema „Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Engineering Futures B“ durch Svea Petersen von der Hochschule Osnabrück vertreten.

Building Biopolis beim DWIH Future Forum

Das Deutsche Wissenschafts- und Innovationshaus (DWIH) New York rief kürzlich dazu auf, sich die grüne Stadt der Zukunft vorzustellen. Beim vier-tägigen virtuellen Event vom 14. bis 17. Oktober konnten interessierte Teilnehmer des Future Forum gemeinsam mit amerikanischen und deutschen Klimaexperten aus Industrie, Politik und Wissenschaft beim Projekt “Building Biopolis” mithelfen.

Moving the City – 2nd Meeting UNISINOS/UAS7 in São Leopoldo, Brasil

An “International student week for entrepreneurship” took place from Nov 11th to Nov 14th in São Leopoldo (RS). Coordinated by UNISINOS, Tecnosinos and FH Münster in an unique and innovative format, “Design the Future” was set up together with students from two UAS7 universities, FH Münster and TH Köln, as well as partners from Brazil and Chile and German based companies such as SAP, Fraport and Stihl.
