Die UAS7-Roadshow “Wege zur Professur” gastiert seit 2017 in regelmäßigen Abständen an den sieben Mitgliedshochschulen des Verbunds. Im Dezember 2020 fand die Veranstaltung erstmals virtuell statt - am 12.03.2021 folgte nun die zweite Online-Ausgabe mit über 160 Teilnehmenden, die sich an der Hochschule München über die besonderen Merkmale einer HAW-Professur informierten.

Balancing synochronous and asynchronous teaching; selecting the right technology tool and preparing students for international collaboration – these were just some of the many topics which were covered in the first round of the UAS7 Virtual Academy’s Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) coaching sessions held in early January 2021.

Moving the Cities is an international event that has been reoccurring annually since 2018. It unites students, professors, industry representatives and universities from all over the world. The goal of Moving the Cities is to look at regional challenges that cities face from an international perspective. To do just that, 135+ students from 6 countries collaborated digitally for one week. 28 internationally mixed teams with participants from Brazil, Chile, Germany, Colombia, England and the USA competed in the final pitches to convince the international jury of their solution.

On December 2nd 2020, the UAS7 Virtual Academy held its inaugural kick-off event. Project stakeholders from both the US and Germany came together virtually to learn more about the plans for the UAS7 Virtual Academy and get to know one another. Almost 50 faculty, project coordinators, e-learning and digitalization specialists as well as senior university members joined the event.

Die UAS7-Roadshow zur HAW-Professur, das „Erfolgskonzept auf Reisen“, hat sich in ein virtuelles Event verwandelt. War die Roadshow bisher alle drei Monate „physischer Gast“ an einer der sieben Mitgliedshochschulen und richtete sich daher vornehmlich an ein regionales Publikum, so warb die Veranstaltung Anfang Dezember an der HAW Hamburg erstmals virtuell für das Berufsfeld HAW-Professor/in. Und diese digitale Veranstaltung war ein voller Erfolg. 155 Teilnehmende aus vielen Regionen Europas, wie Norwegen, Dänemark und Spanien, und allen Teilen der Republik wählten sich ein.

Wegen der Corona-Pandemie läuft der Hochschulbetrieb nicht nur in Deutschland überwiegend virtuell, Hochschulen haben ihre digitalen Lehr- und Lernangebote signifikant ausgebaut. Dieser Digitalisierungsschub soll auch in internationalen Hochschulkooperationen verankert werden. Dafür fördert der Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst (DAAD) das Verbundprojekt „UAS7 Virtual Academy“ unter Federführung der Hochschule Bremen mit 250.000 Euro. 

Zum zweiten Mal machte die UAS7-Roadshow „Karriereweg FH-Professur“ an der Hochschule Bremen Station. Mit diesem Format wirbt UAS7 seit nunmehr drei Jahren für den Beruf der Professorin bzw. des Professors an einer Hochschule der Angewandten Wissenschaften (HAW)/Fachhochschule (FH).

An “International student week for entrepreneurship” took place from Nov 11th to Nov 14th in São Leopoldo (RS). Coordinated by UNISINOS, Tecnosinos and FH Münster in an unique and innovative format, “Design the Future” was set up together with students from two UAS7 universities, FH Münster and TH Köln, as well as partners from Brazil and Chile and German based companies such as SAP, Fraport and Stihl.
