Die diesjährige Hybridveranstaltung fand vom 17. bis zum 28. Oktober statt und versammelte mehr als 140 Studierende von 12 Universitäten aus Brasilien, Chile, Kolumbien, Deutschland, den USA und dem UK. Das Projekt umfasste neue Herausforderungen und Möglichkeiten für Studierende, ihre unternehmerischen und interdisziplinären Fähigkeiten zu verbessern, multikulturelle Erfahrungen zu sammeln und gleichzeitig innovative Ideen zu entwickeln.

Die UAS7 Virtual Academy bringt Studierende über Kontinente hinweg für virtuelle Zusammenarbeit zusammen: Studierende der Hochschule München entwickelten in ihrer Vorlesung „3D Printing & Design“ ein Würfelspiel mit einem 3D-Drucker. Ihre Kommiliton*innen von der US-Partnerhochschule SUNY Canton erarbeiten nun ein Produktionskonzept.

The last two years changed the world and with it changed the parameters of applied sciences. At a hybrid University-Industry talk, sponsored by the Otto and Fran Walter Foundation, academic, business and industry leaders from three continents shared their ideas on university-industry relations and Innovation Powered by Applied Sciences.

April 2021 was an intense month of learning and cross-cultural interaction for students of the course Different Approaches to Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility in the US and the EU at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht Berlin (HWR Berlin). Students joined selected counterparts from the University at Albany in the US for a month-long interactive online course that placed international collaboration at its heart.

Moving the Cities is an international event that has been reoccurring annually since 2018. It unites students, professors, industry representatives and universities from all over the world. The goal of Moving the Cities is to look at regional challenges that cities face from an international perspective. To do just that, 135+ students from 6 countries collaborated digitally for one week. 28 internationally mixed teams with participants from Brazil, Chile, Germany, Colombia, England and the USA competed in the final pitches to convince the international jury of their solution.

An “International student week for entrepreneurship” took place from Nov 11th to Nov 14th in São Leopoldo (RS). Coordinated by UNISINOS, Tecnosinos and FH Münster in an unique and innovative format, “Design the Future” was set up together with students from two UAS7 universities, FH Münster and TH Köln, as well as partners from Brazil and Chile and German based companies such as SAP, Fraport and Stihl.

Bereits zum dritten Mal fand sich eine Delegation aus mehreren UAS7-Hochschulen an der Universidade Franciscana (UFN) im südbrasilianischen Santa Maria ein, um am 3° Simposio de Enfermagem Brasil-Alemanha teilzunehmen.

Digitale Technologien dominieren unseren Alltag und unsere Arbeitswelt. Sie dominieren die Art unserer Kommunikation, die Regulierung von Verkehrsräumen, die Herstellung von Produkten und vieles mehr. Die „Stadt der Zukunft“ und die „Fabrik der Zukunft“ wurden bereits entworfen. Aber wie sieht es mit der „Universität der Zukunft“ aus?
