Faculty Exchanges

Short and long-term opportunities for contacts among faculty at UAS7 and our partner institutions are a central plank of the UAS7 internationalization strategy.  In addition to promoting individual faculty development and consolidating institutional partnerships, these faculty contacts support the effective integration of student experiences abroad. In some cases, supplementary funding may be available to support faculty exchanges.

Faculty from UAS7 members and our partners are encouraged to consider short and long-term opportunities at a partner university.  If you are a faculty member at Drexel University, the University of New Orleans, the University of Pittsburgh, or a SUNY campus, please contact the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. When hosting faculty members from our partner institutions, we provide office space, assistance with housing and other logistics, and integration into a community of scholars engaged in practice-oriented teaching and applied research.  Depending on your availability and the needs of the host department, you can spend from one week to two years at a UAS7 campus.  Depending on the length of your commitment, you may also have the opportunity to develop connections with scholars in your field throughout the UAS7 consortium.  All guest faculty collaborate with faculty at their host UAS with deep roots in business and industry in the region.

Funding for UAS7 Faculty in Germany Hosted at a North American University

UAS7 faculty interested in teaching at a partner university (UAS7 or bilateral) for a period of one to six months are eligible for support through the DAAD Short-Term Lectureship Program.  UAS7 faculty should contact their Dean and their International Office.  When visiting faculty positions are sought at a UAS7 partner, the UAS7 New York Office will inquire about opportunities in your field.

Campus visits in both directions are also encouraged in order to broaden the number of faculty and staff with first-hand knowledge of the curriculum, research, and teaching philosophies at partner institutions.  Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
