To meet challenges of a rapidly changing professional world, the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück has developed a comprehensive study program that is differentiated, interdisciplinary, and international. The many areas of specialization invite students to develop an individual profile of qualification. The combination of practice-oriented and modern academic education allows students to acquire different methods and skills. The variety of our degree programs is our answer to the changes that have been taking place in the job market. Our double-degree programs with European partners as well as international programs give our students a competitive edge on the job market.

Scientific know-how combined with many years of practical experience, more than 80 laboratories and 3 research farms as well as close cooperation with business and industry in the region guarantee that the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück engages in research that is of benefit to both partners – we supply enterprises and public institutions with solutions to their complex problems. In return, we receive valuable feedback on the content and development of our study programs.

International Orientation

The University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück is proud of its long-standing tradition in international cooperation, partnering with more than 100 universities worldwide. More than 900 students from over 85 countries currently study at the university’s six faculties, departments and institutes.

For its international students, the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück offers special services. These comprise not only support in finding accommodation and an orientation program at the beginning of the semester, but also intercultural workshops and German language courses. Furthermore, special tutors offer guidance and support to their international fellow students and invites them to take part in JOIN OS, the Joint Cultural Program for International Students in Osnabrück.

City Profile

In Osnabrück, modern life takes place in historic settings. At every turn in its city center you find traces of its 1,200 years of history. Carefully restored buildings house shops, art galleries, bars and restaurants and lend the city a medieval charm right up to the present day. At the same time, Osnabrück is a city with a technology-oriented future. Many innovative and well known international companies in the hi-tech, engineering, food and logistics sectors are located here.

With a variety of cultural events and recreational facilities, Osnabrück offers everything to enrich a student’s life. Situated close to the Dutch border and between two mountain ranges, Osnabrück also offers beautiful scenery as well as easy access to the cosmopolitan cities Hamburg and Amsterdam.
