Application Process

Please note: University of Applied Sciences Muenster and University of Applied Sciences Hamburg are not accepting SIP applicants for the term of 2010.



The application form has to be completed ONLINE HERE. You must send the original printout of the application with your personal signature, your supplemental documents and materials, and 4 copies of these materials in one package to the DAAD New York office. Be certain to submit all materials and the correct number of copies (4) of each.
A total of 5!

The Supplemental Documents comprise:

• Your Resume
• Statement of motivation (incl. study plan)
• Two letters of recommendation from professors in your major field of study.
• Statement of Support and Credit Eligibility.

Please do not call our office regarding the status of your application. You will be notified after April 15th 2010 if your application has been successful.

Frequently asked questions


Do all 4 copies of my transcripts need to be officially sealed transcripts or if just one would need to be sealed?

Only one transcript needs to be officially sealed the other four can be regular copies.

What about the letter of recommendation? Do they need to be in separate envelopes?

One official letter of recommendation is sufficient and the other four in copies.
Basically it is up to the professor how he wants the envelopes (sealed or not) and if he wants to give it to you or to send it separately to our UAS7 office in New York.
