To further the internationalization of the UAS7 universities, the alliance promotes faculty exchange with its partner universities. Exchange is possible on a short-term basis (e.g. for one or two weeks) or for the duration of a full semester or year. It can happen on a one-on-one basis where the faculty members exchange even accommodations. In this case each faculty member involved gets paid by their home university. Additional costs are limited to travel expenses. Faculty members can also be hired directly by an international partner university for a certain period of time while being on leave from their home university. There are financial support programs available for this purpose (e.g. as offered by the DAAD).
